What Small Batch Really Means

Small batch is one of those phrases that gets printed on everything now. For us, it is not a marketing word. It is literally how the work happens, one bottle at a time, in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

What actually goes into a bottle

There is no anonymous factory overseas. There is a real bench, real hands, and a slow, careful process:

• Extracting. Drawing the richest natural compounds from the avocado seed through a patient, multi-layered process. This is the part you cannot rush.
• Filtering. Cleaning and clarifying so the base is smooth and light.
• Blending. Layering in castor seed oil, vegetable glycerin, vitamin E, and pure essential oils for each of the three scents.
• Bottling and labeling. Filling and finishing each bottle by hand.
• Checking. Looking over every batch, because a real person made it and a real person is going to use it.

Why we do not just make more, faster

We could cut corners to fill warehouses. We would rather make something worth reaching for. When a batch is made with attention, you can feel it, and our customers tell us they do.

It also means honesty about supply. Because everything is handmade in small batches, a scent can sell out before the next batch is ready. That is not a scarcity trick. It is just the truth of making things by hand.

Every batch matters, because every bottle is going to a real person.

The trade-off we chose

Mass production is efficient. It is also anonymous. We chose the slower path on purpose, because the whole point of AvoJoy was to make something I would be proud to hand to my own family. That standard does not scale down. It comes in every bottle.
